Hey there, and welcome to the crew!

First off, huge thanks to all the new subscribers, it genuinely means a lot that you’re here. I started this newsletter to help people get a better grasp of the Japanese real estate market. Whether you're casually browsing or seriously thinking about buying a home in Japan, my goal is to give you insights that are actually useful and importantly make you an educated buyer.

You’ll find a mix of content here: deep dives into topics like Zoning and Akiya’s, My Picks for investment opportunities in rural towns and ski areas, practical guides on buying and owning property in Japan as a foreigner, and more. But I also use this space to share things I just find interesting about Japan. Cool architecture, vending machine culture, or whatever random detail about Japan made me stop and take a photo. I’m a naturally curious person so i tend to dive really deep in subjects.

Speaking of photos, I’ll be posting a lot of my own, mostly from around Japan, but occasionally I’ll sneak in some shots from my travels elsewhere. (I hope that’s cool with you)
