I’ll be brief today as I don’t have too many updates! We are starting to see more inventory in the Myoko area, which is great, and we’ve also been helping many of our clients in different parts of Japan like Izu, Kamakura, and Shizuoka. It’s always exciting to explore properties in new areas and see what kinds of houses are available outside of the places we usually work in.
At the end of the month, I’ll also be visiting some of our clients’ properties to make sure everything is good to go before they go live as rentals, which I’m really excited about! It’s always nice to finally see the finished result after all the work that goes into renovations, furniture, and preparing the houses.

This is one of the biggest houses I’ve seen, together with a pension near Iiyama that I had the opportunity to visit. This property also looks like it could work really well as a pension, hostel, or even as two separate rental spaces using the first and second floors independently.
The house is huge, with nine bedrooms, four toilets, two kitchens, garage space for two cars, and it even comes with an elevator, which is something you almost never see in a house in Japan! It is also really close to the station, which I think makes it especially interesting if you want to turn it into an accommodation property with multiple guest rooms.
There are honestly so many possibilities with a property this size. You could keep both kitchens if you want to create two separate units, or convert one of them into a recreational or lounge area for guests. You could even create a small café or communal space on either the first or second floor. With the right ideas and renovations, I think this could become a really unique place where many people can stay and enjoy the area.
The location is another huge advantage, as it is close to the beach and Otaru Station, while also having convenient access to nearby ski resorts and an outlet mall. Overall, I think this is one of those rare properties where the amount of space really gives you the freedom to create something completely different!

A really cozy wooden house with two bedrooms, a loft, plenty of parking space, and a beautiful garden surrounded by forest. I really like the atmosphere of this property, as it gives you that peaceful mountain-house feeling while still being conveniently located for exploring the Myoko area.
The house is close to Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park and also within driving distance of several ski resorts around Myoko. I think the price is really good considering the location, especially since many of our clients are looking around this area because of its access to Myoko, Iiyama, and other parts of Nagano.
The only downside is that you will definitely need a car to access the property. However, from what I’ve seen while searching for houses around Myoko, this is pretty normal for properties located closer to the mountains and ski areas, as many don’t have a train station within walking distance.
The house itself looks to be in great condition and doesn’t seem to need any major renovations. It has been previously owned and looks very well maintained, so it is basically ready to move in and enjoy. Overall, I think this would make such a cozy ski or vacation home for someone who wants to be surrounded by nature while still having easy access to some of the best mountain areas nearby.

The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and offers four bedrooms, all the necessary living spaces, and parking space. One of the things I really like about this house is how convenient the location is for daily life. You have a MUJI shopping area nearby, a 24-hour supermarket, an electronics store, and plenty of other amenities within easy reach.
The house is also close to a train station, giving you easy access to Miyazaki Station in just a few minutes, as well as convenient connections to Miyazaki Airport. For those looking for more of a beach lifestyle, the nearest beach and Miyazaki Seaside Park are less than a 10-minute drive away. Miyazaki Shrine is also nearby, so you really have a nice mix of city convenience, nature, and local sightseeing.
The house itself looks really well maintained and doesn’t seem to need any major renovations. Of course, you could update some of the traditional Japanese rooms if you prefer a more modern style, but overall, it looks ready to enjoy as it is.
I think this would be a really nice beach house for someone who works remotely and wants to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle while still having all the conveniences of daily life nearby. You can work from home, head to the beach when you’re finished, and still be close enough to the city center and airport when needed!
